Rapid growth in digital information demands increasingly urgent requirements for high-speed, high-capacity networks, where the speed and distance of data transmission become key challenges. This product is designed specifically for 100G BASE-LR4 optical communication applications, providing 100Gb/s transceiver modules. The module converts 4 channels of 25Gb/s electrical data input into 4 LAN WDM optical signals, which are then multiplexed into a single lane for 100Gb/s optical transmission. Conversely, at the receiving end, the module demultiplexes the 100Gb/s optical input into 4 LAN WDM optical signal channels, which are then converted into 4 electrical signal output channels.

The 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module is designed according to the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) for QSFP form factor, supporting DDM digital diagnostic functions. Its design meets the most demanding external operating conditions including temperature, humidity, and electromagnetic interference.


The center wavelengths of the 4 LAN WDM channels are 1295.56nm, 1300.05nm, 1304.58nm, and 1309.14nm, serving as members of the LAN WDM wavelength grid defined in IEEE 802.3ba. The product features high-performance cooled LAN WDM EA-DFB transmitters and high-sensitivity PLN receivers, providing excellent performance for 100G Ethernet applications, using LC interfaces, with a maximum transmission distance of up to 10km.

The 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module is highly suitable for long-distance connections in data centers and enterprise networks, such as 100G direct connections and interconnections. The direct connection scheme for 100G is straightforward, requiring only two QSFP28 LR4 optical modules to be inserted into corresponding 100G switch ports, connected by an LC fiber optic patch cord.
